soya chilli recipe | soyabean chilly | chilli soya chunks | chilli soya with step by step photo and video recipe. indian cuisine is incomplete without mentioning the street food recipes it has to offer in different regions. it can be the gobi manchurian or perhaps the chilli paneer from the famous indo chinese cuisine. one such popular recipe is soya chilli which is known for its sweet and spicy lip-smacking taste.

this recipe for soya chilli is very similar to my previous chilli recipes but i felt much easier to prepare compared to its successors. however, the soya nuggets need to be boiled separately before coating deep frying them in oil. this helps to get rid of excessive protein and soften soya. moreover, due to the texture and shape of soya, it does not turn out soggy even after keeping it for a while. hence it makes an ideal party starter or an appetizer for potluck parties as it can remain crisp for a longer time. i personally like the chewiness the soya nuggets has to offer. in other words, the combination of sweetness, spiciness and the chewiness, makes an ideal snack for any occasions.

furthermore, some tips, suggestions and recommendations for soya chilli recipe. firstly, i would heavily recommend to the clean and boil the soya nuggets thoroughly before using it in this recipe. some brand do mention to skip this, but i would recommend following this step anyway. secondly, i have deep fried the coated soya nuggets which can be easily pan-fried or shallow fried or baked for less oil consumption. you may have to stir the soya nuggets continuously while pan frying, otherwise it may stick to the bottom. lastly, i have added 1 tsp of chilli sauce for this recipe, but you can vary it as per your taste.

finally, i would like to highlight my other indo chinese recipes collection with this post of soya chilli recipe. it includes recipes like gobi chilli, mushroom manchurian, veg crispy, hot and sour soup, cabbage manchurian, veg manchurian, hakka noodles and manchow soup. further, do visit my other related recipes collection like,
