While getting into a dungeon is easy, surviving and making it out alive with all the loot is the harder part. You have to kill a lot of monsters, during which, more often than not, you will get hurt. But thankfully, you have the choice to heal up. So, here are all the ways in which you can heal in Dark and Darker.
Healing Using Items
There are several ways to heal in the game, among which healing using items is the most popular choice for every player. The most reliable options among these items are potions of healing and bandages.
Here are all the other sources that can provide you with one-time healing:
Source | Description |

Potion of Healing | Easily spotted in levels due to their bright red color, healing potions restore 15 HP over 20 seconds. |
Bandages | Though harder to find, bandages heal 10 HP immediately. |
Campfire Kit | Available from the Woodsman for 24 Gold, campfire kits let you heal yourself and your teammates. When used, the campfire not only heals but also boosts some skill effects. |
Healing Shrine | These shrines have a white statue of a lady with a white sphere. The shrines can be used only once but fully restore the player’s HP. |
Apart from the above options, you can also recover HP from resting, but that can only heal the recoverable HP bar, and not the unrecoverable portion. All of the above options can recover the HP regardless of that.
Healing Using Abilities
Apart from items, you can also heal yourself or your teammates using the abilities and skills of various classes, especially the Cleric class. So, here's a list of all the classes that can provide healing effects in Dark and Darker.
The skills listed below are only Active Skills. Some perks also provide healing for the player but are available to only a few select classes.

Fighter | Victory Strike | The next attack deals an additional 20% weapon damage. If you kill with this attack, recover 5% of max HP. |
Second Wind | Recover 50% of HP over 12s. Eliminates side effects of Adrenaline Rush. | |
Barbarian | Field Ration | Instantly recover 15 HP. |
Ranger | War Cry | Increase the maximum HP of yourself and your party by 25% for 7s. |
Cleric | Lesser Heal | Heals a target for 15 health. Casts to self if no target is found. |
Holy Light | Heals an ally for 30 HP or deals 100 base magical damage to an undead target. | |
Sanctuary | Concentrates on a specific area for a certain period, healing friendly beings within the area for 7 HP per second and dealing 14 spell damage per second to the undead. | |
Resurrection | Target an ally to resurrect them from the dead (the corpse must have a Soul Heart). |
The Bard also has a music skill called Tranquility which does not provide healing but speeds up the healing gained from resting or Campfire Kits.
