1. Post a front and back image of your coin with a specific question about what you’re seeing or asking about and one coin per topic.
2. Please remove coin from the holder unless it’s US or an official mint case or unless it is graded by a grading service.
3. Images should be taken by a camera or cell phone camera, please do not take images of your microscope screen or TV screen.
4. Always start your own topic, please don’t ask about your coin or post your coin in someone else’s coin topic.
5. Do not send private messages about your coin unless an Admin ask you too and the same for sending emails through the board.
6. No spam. Do not post any links to your coin or other non-coin websites.
7. Always be respectful even if something makes you upset or you don’t agree with a member. You can always get a second opinion elsewhere. If you have an issue then politely ask an admin in an PM. PM’s are for issues, technical and personal, but not for coin questions (refer to number 5 on this list). This post is mainly for Paul, and to help others. I know that Paul is a CONECA Attributor. Now for big question that many have. If Paul Attributes your coin as a new error or variety, would it be the same as Wexler's? I am going to say yes. When I first came on-line (some time between 2007-2114) looking for sites dealing with coins and searching coin rolls was CONECA (where I first encountered Mike Diamond and B.J. Neff), Paul if you were there I apologize. The other site was CopperCoins. So again I am going to say YES, as he is an authorized CONECA Attributor, basically like Wexler. Of course if I am wrong (wouldn't be the first time), Paul will correct me. Thanks everyone

I am able to "VERIFY" your coin as a 'mint error or die variety'.... If it is one of these,... I check it against ALL of the previous listed/known "ERRORS" for that denomination, date and mint mark....... If a submission sent to me is not currently listed, I then forward it to C.O.N.E.C.A., who will issue a new attribution number..... and enter it into their Registry Log.

Paul, I have a totally different question for you about attribution. Why do we see that Wexler has coins listed that, C.O.N.E.C.A doesn't or Variety Vista doesn't list some that others do: this is also the same for The Lincoln Cent Resource? It can be really confusing at times Thanks

That is a good question.... Each organization has their own guidelines to determine "What" qualifies as a VARIETY. Keep in mind, that the submission and recognition of an error by one group may not be accepted by another......
there is also the "Trickle Down Effect", where it takes some time for a 'New' variety to be recognized, accepted, & catalogued by the other major variety resources.
