HERE IT IS! The one you’ve been looking for…..buy now and be ready for SPRING!

1986 Alfa Romeo Spider Quadrifoglio with under 61,000 original miles!

Who says that owning a rare classic car can’t be affordable as well?

Sorry for the lengthy ad, but these older classic vehicles always have a lot more to talk about.

I have lots more pics that I can email you…..Craigslist only allows 24.

I found this amazing car in late 2022 and had been wanting a classic Alfa for some time. It needed a bunch of work, but I was so surprised to find it so original that I knew that it was worth it. I invested over $4000 getting it right and now it drives beautifully!

I challenge anyone to find a more original Quadrifoglio anywhere in the country for anywhere near this price.

The Alfa Spider was first produced in 1966 and continued until 1994. Over that time only about 124,000 cars were built. To put that number in perspective, in 1986 Ford built 224,000 Mustangs. In ONE YEAR!

In addition, the Quadrifoglio version was only available with the series 3 spider from 1986 to 1990 and they were only about 2600 cars built of that trim level.

Only the Quadrifoglio version was available with this special removable hardtop

There were more dodge vipers built in 1994, then Quadrifoglios in five years from 86-90

This is a RARE car! You might not see another one on the road all summer.

And fortunately for you, and unlike the viper, it’s at a price that almost ANYONE can afford!

The only reason I’m even selling this beauty is because I was just fortunate enough to purchase a 1994 viper with only 6000 miles on it. As much as I love the Alfa I had to take advantage of that opportunity.

Mine is certainly not perfect being 38 years old, but overall you will find it’s a beautiful example of an iconic 80s poor man’s Ferrari….which is what these were jokingly called back then.

ORIGINAL wheels and center caps. Brand new Pirelli tires with less than 500 miles on them

ORIGINAL seats in fantastic condition! One of the rarest things about this vehicle is the original seats. These leather seats were not designed to last for decades and being 38 years old shows how well this vehicle was taken care of.

ORIGINAL. AM/FM Radio is included, but I just put a brand new Kenwood radio in the car last year….sounds amazing!

2 keys

I bought it from an older gentleman from Elkhorn, Wisconsin who only put a couple hundred miles on it over the last 2-3 years of his ownership. I bought in Sept 2022, drove it for about 100 miles and then put it in storage for the winter. I had all the repairs done in early 2023, and then I put about 300 miles on it last summer. I wish I could have driven it more, but I was literally waiting a couple months for parts to arrive so I didn’t even get to start driving it until about July. I HATE to sell this, but if you’ve ever driven a Viper you know why I’m making this difficult decision.

When I purchased it, it drove absolutely terrible, but I knew that the things I needed to fix were very easily defined.

Between Sept 2022 and May 2023 I did the following
New Pirelli tires
New Battery
New fuel injectors
New fuel pump
New e-brake cable
New radio
New muffler
New exhaust manifold gaskets

And I’m sure there’s more that I’m forgetting… All told I spent about $4000 getting it where it needed to be.

All the work was done by Reina International Autos located in Brookfield. They specialize in Italian cars. When my car was in the shop it was right next to a $500k Ferrari. If they told me something needed to be done, I did it.

Reina has verified that it is running perfectly, and there is nothing more that it needs at this point.

A couple things that don’t work, but I didn’t find it necessary to repair.

A/C. About 90% of these cars from the 80s have non-functioning AC. You are only going to be driving this with the top down anyways, so who really needs AC. Reina said it could be easily fixed, but I just didn’t see the need.

Power mirrors. Again, the mirrors are adjustable manually, and it wasn’t a priority to spend money on this.

***************************

In addition to the work that I did, the entire car was repainted at some point in the last 10 years, but I’m not exactly sure when. Also, the soft top is newer and in fantastic condition.

So if it’s so great, then why am I selling it?

When I was in college in the early 90s my dad bought a 94 Viper. He had always been into fast cars… We had Camaros and Corvettes but this car, the viper, was far and away the most amazing vehicle that I had ever seen to that point. Over the years he bought and sold two more vipers and finally now I have my opportunity to get virtually the same car that he had. I wish I could keep them both, but I can’t so this one is now for sale. I bought the Viper from a guy in CA having only seen pictures. He was an elderly gentleman and driving stick was too difficult for him these days. Why doesn’t anyone drive stick anymore ? But I digress…….. It cost a ton to ship it here, but that’s how bad I wanted that Viper.

The Alfa was sleeping in the garage all winter and I just got it going again today. I drove about 10 miles to get the cobwebs off and I’m really going to miss it.

The prices for these classic Alfas are all over the board, you can get a base model that needs some work for as low as $5k and I’ve seen pristine ones go for over $30k. $14500 is where I’m starting with my asking price. I am willing to negotiate with an informed buyer, but that doesn’t mean I’m just willing to lower the price without you giving me some justification why you think it is worth less. I won’t even entertain any offers until you have driven it so you can see how nice it drives.

Please call me to make an appointment to come see it. I’m located in Elm Grove very close to Brookfield.
